Mark Hamill to voice Joker in upcoming Arkham Asylum game

Deathsythe | September 11, 2008 | News | PC Playstation 3 Misc
With a nod to anyone who has appreciated the meniacal laughter of The Joker from the animated series- Mark Hamill has signed on to provide gamers with audio for that chilling cold character that we are all used to in the upcoming Arkham Asylum game.

Also related - there is a contest in the works to allow winners to have their own cell in the asylum in game - complete with your own personal touch of homicidal scribblings on the walls.
Fresh word from the GameStop expo in Las Vegas is that Mark Hamill, voice of the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and face of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, will have a starring role in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum video game. The role? The Joker, naturally. Hamill will bring his finely tuned maniacal giggle to the Rocksteady Games developed release that was announced last month by way of Game Informer.

While GI may have teased that info, Warner Bros. is said to have confirmed it today.

I love that guy as Joker. Real cool guy; he gave away prizes at the comic convention held by the Los Angeles Public Library a few years back. At the audience's request, he did the Joker laugh until the mic broke.

Holy shit, this is probably the best news I've heard containing Batman ever. Its about time Mark, I always thought you was the perfect joker. Now hopefully if it ever needs to come Joker making a cameo in the next film, you'd take it. Cause you're still the perfect joker caliber.

Deathsythe thank you for finding this piece of gold, even if its for a game, its about damn time I see Mark Hamill and Joker name appear next to each other.

Great news! I've adored Hamil's laugh. He has captured Joker's laugh excellently and so far no one has reached that caliber.
