After being given the rating of G, Animal Crossing: City Folk received a name change in Australia.

The name change is.... Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City.... rather pathetic really.

Can the new lame name affect sales? Or will it be just as big upon release later this year?

    Urgh, ugly name.

I'll still be getting it, but be damned if I won't feel like an utter tool buying something with a name like that.

Wow. That is a horrible name for the game.

Still the name doesn't matter as much as the game does. =P

I think I'm going to cry.

Giving it a kiddy name like that is probably trying to boost sales. I wouldn't be surprised if shops move it next to the Wiggles DVDs and PlaySchool merchandise.

Lol, you Aussies may have gotten the better name for Wario Land, but you got boned with Animal Crossing! Sorry, Big A2.

They would also move it next to the Fisher Price motorcycles, amirite?

I think you mean the Fisher Price barbeques.

    Haha. Nice name!

I truly think that this is worse than Wario Land: Shake It!

It does sound like they believe Australia is just a desert with Kangaroos for pets.

I don't think a name change is too bad as such (example of Star Fox 64 and Lylat Wars) but this one is really childish and lame.

The news itself wasn't particularly interesting, but your reactions made it worthwhile. <3

Now let's go to the city!

I know. That is incredibly correct.

I am not going to the City. I LIVE in the City.

Reminds me of something they would slap onto the end of a Sims 2 expansion pack.

I think that they're not gonna get as many buys now who would change the title to Lets go to the city and if people are gonna abbreiveate or however it's spelled they're gonna have to go aclgttc instead of simple accf.

I'm just going to call it Animal Crossing Wii. Abbreviations for games can get confusing.
