From the organizers of Games Convention held in Leipzig, Germany have plans on creating a convention in North America. The logical choice, one would assume would be the US. Wrong! The organizers are pondering on a city in Canada.

If I had to take a guess it would have to be either Vancouver or Toronto. We all know west coast is the best coast ;) (PAX, E3, E For All, etc) so here's hoping it's Vancouver!

We'll decide about the place of the new event in cooperation with the games industry. It seems to become a city in Canada, not in the US. We'll inform you as soon as we arrived at a decision […], we are still in negotiation.

    Really? That's awesome. =D

Hopefully it is in Toronto, only because I live really close and go their often. I bet it will be in Toronto, because it is something like over half of the population of Canada lives in that general area.

    Nice news. =]

    Vancouver > Toronto
What gaming companies are in Toronto? I know for Vancouver we have 2 EA studios, Radical, Hothead Games and a few others.

I agree with you, Vancouver is by far a nicer city than Toronto. But I don't know if they would have it out there, chances are that they would get many more people coming if they hosted it in Toronto.

I don't know any gaming companies in Toronto, I don't really pay attention to that.

Ah, a games convention. Well, I do not live in Canada, but if it was here, I would be going. I have never been to any type of game convention before.

Toronto FTW! I might actually go (if they let me in).....

@Twisted. Half the population of Canada in that general area? Much exaggeration, but it is (by Canadian standards) a pretty dense area, population wise.
