Saints Row 2 is due for release shortly, and it appears that ConsoleMonster have managed to find the list of Achievements for the XBOX360. It should be noted that if the PS3 version is to have Trophies, then these will be the same as these achievements.

We have just added the Achievements for Saints Row 2 on the Xbox 360. The list rewards players for completing the game and its side missions in single player and co-op. The list reveals some new side missions including “Fight Club”, “FUZZ” and “Heli Assault”. A lot of the achievement’s are references such as “Where’s My Car?” – a reference to the film: Dude, Where’s My Car. There are also a few online achievements as well as ten secret achievements.

I honestly cannot wait for this game to come out. I don't think there's as much anticipation as there was with Grand Theft Auto IV but it will certainly be interesting to see how different or how similar Saints Row 2 will be.

Any reason why I found this under PS3 Headlines?

Same reason MGS things are on PS3 headlines. It's for PS3.

Because if Saints Row 2 PS3 has Trophies, then the Achievements will be the same as the Trophies.

This is not a watered down version of GTA IV for a start it has like 600 more features than GTA IV, and if trophies is a feature you want then i guess you only own Super Stardust HD and Uncharted as they are really the only games that support the feature and split screen co-op died with the titanic, so if that is what you want stop gaming now.

Look how easy it is to call someone *bleep*ing stupid when you can't actually see the person you're talking to...

I would easily say it to his face thats never been a problem to me, though look how simple it is to assume you know someone you don't even know. I know you might be pissed off because everyone thinks you are dumb but don't take it out on me ok?

There's actually quite a few games with Trophies out now, so it seems that you are calling the kettle black.

To each their own. There is no need to call anyone *bleep*ing Stupid, so Please watch your language in the future.

So wait, if we don't buy the game cause it doesn't have a feature some people might actually be looking forward to, its automatically assumed were *bleep*ing stupid? haha wow.

Anyway cool, im not as excited about SR2 as I was with GTA4, but still I going to pick it up at one point.

I'm definitely excited about it, but I'm trying to make my money go further than what I did on MGS4's release date... I bought two games together, both at full price (obviously) and I think the better thing to have done would be to have gotten MGS4 first and then CivRev a couple weeks after (or vice versa). As such I'll be getting Saints Row 2, most likely after Fallout 3, but before LittleBigPlanet.

        Final Blade Sep 14, 08
The difference to why Im not exited with this game as GTA4 is cause GTA is a known franchises which I grew up playing. And tbh I wasn't at all pleased with SR particularly cause of it not being on a Sony system and me not liking the controller for it and how the game turned out.

While im happy now its going to be on PS3, I still have doubts about the game. It doesn't have that GTA style element I like sure it has the gameplay and such like it, but not the GTA feel of it. But thats my opinions and taste of it.

After playing GTAIV, I feel that Rockstar lost that "GTA" feel with the game, and I think that Violition may have actually gotten it. I'm definitely going to be getting this game eventually.

Shit, I agree with BlackLabel. Nobody gave a damn about trophies when they didn't exist (obviously), but the point is that a game is a game is a game. In the grand scheme, trophies and achievements are external factors. You can't say a good game sucks because it doesn't have trophies and you can't say you enjoyed a game because of trophies. That's unconscious brainwashing. You're allowing yourself to miss out on an experience because of something that essentially doesn't even have anything to do with the game itself. Yes, it would be cool if the game had trophies, but I'm getting it either way. I think it's a joke to ignore something you have any interest in because of something that isn't even a real part of the game.

And all you have to do is look at one video and see that it's the furthest thing from a watered down GTA IV. That comment really was just ignorant. I'm not one of these people who put my heart on my sleeve when GTA IV "disappointed," because I fully enjoyed the game, but Saint's Row 2 looks like everything that GTA IV is not.

And WTF does it matter to anyone if someone chooses not to get a game if it doesn't support trophies? I believe they as a consumer have the right to choose a product based on features they desire.

Some people don't get games if it doesn't support online multiplayer.....are they stupid too? No, it's a feature they want in their games to add to their playing experience.

Personally I might not get the game even if it has trophies, not that I think it won't be a great game, there are just higher priorities on my want list.

ok i didnt want to start a fight with you BlackLabel... and im not going to start now
the reason i called it a watered down version of gta4 is because i dont no much about the game so ok i take that back i was going by what i seen in some trailers..
and i stand buy what i said il get it if it has split screen co-op this is the key feature i want.. if it has trophys it make the game more tempting to get because it adds to the gameplay value and if it doesn't have it i would wait awhile before buying it.. just because some games have no trophys doesn't mean i wont get them im getting star wars and that has no trophys

If you're going to have split screen co-op on your list of wants, you're going to be disappointed with a lot more games than Saint's Row. That's just an outdated feature that developers are moving further and further away from.

      Drogo Baggins Sep 13, 08
Believe it or not, someone can want a feature in one game, and not in another.

Just because Newcloud wants slip-screen co-op in SR2, doesn't mean he wants it in all games.

Also, I really wouldn't say developers are moving away from that feature.

Halo 3, R2, GoW1(and probably GoW2), Kane and Lynch, SCIV, Army of Two, and Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 and 2 are all fairly recent games with offline co-op.

Left 4 Dead (I've heard) will also have offline co-op, and I believe RE5 will have offline co-op as well.

I think it is a feature that will die, but probably not anytime soon.

Unfortunately that is the case, and even more unfortunately, I'm one of those gamers that would far prefer to have friends over to play games than playing against people I know online (since my friends don't have a PS3).

I know that, I was saying if that's what he looks for in games in general. Soul Calibur doesn't have co-op. I've heard nothing about R2 having offline co-op, are you sure? And I even Had R6 Vegas and didn't see anything about split screen co-op.

You've not heard about R2 having offline co-op? Uhh well you can read it now - Resistance 2 Has Offline Co-op.

      And yes I'm 101% sure.

YOU are not a source. Why would you bother with that?
        • 0
          Red 9* Sep 14, 08
It needs no source, it's just a well known fact about R2. Besides, would Krunal lie to you?

I think I'm just hoping that having been on the website for 6 years + now, and having been a generally reliable source of information (minus the Ace Combat 6 rumours which never come true - sorry Red 9 I know how much your waiting for that game on the PS3), I may just be taking for granted the fact that people would trust me as a source like I'd trust say Red 9 or Mnmfan or Cruxis Mana. All of them are long-time members and people I'd call reliable and would believe without a source, but if you want one, then here:

I have no idea, I don't know him. That wasn't my point anyway. I said I hadn't heard anything about offline co-op, not like I care anyway, but some random person saying it's in the game doesn't mean anything to me.

      Red 9* Sep 14, 08
Lol, I wasn't being completely serious about Krunal lying sorry if that got mixed up.

Either way, there is offline co-op in this game.

      Final Blade Sep 14, 08
Some random person? Seriously iLL its not some random person its Krunal were talking about. He's up to date with everything involving games basically and helping out everything else.

He has more knowledge about some games then others, I'd take his word of it.

    iLLmatic Sep 15, 08
And what? I still don't know the dude. I'm very knowledgeable of everything gaming myself. So you're saying I'm not a random person to you? I didn't say he was wrong, I just said he's not a source.

Don't worry I can understand your position. In future however, I'd suggest just going over to GameGreps search, entering the name of the game, clicking the first link that pops up, scrolling to the name of the game and clicking on it to see all articles and then just hover over them for videos and sources.

You can read most of the up-to-date Resistance 2 news here:
      http://www.gamegrep.com/games/resistance_2/

Hopefully we'll bring an actual game search to GameGrep. It's on my "to moan to neostaff" list for some time.

Lol, I didn't realise I was a trusted person for info lol. Good to know.

And yes, sadly no AC6 has come PS3-side. Fingers crossed for the sequel lol.
