Game launching is a big part of PlayStation Home. Sony is focusing more and more on the game features for Home, and one feature already available is the launching of games directly from within home. Check out these two videos, which show off how the feature works.

I hope that using Home isn't mandatory to do those things. For example, if we choose Quit Game, I had better have the option of just going back to the XMB.

But I doubt it'll be mandatory.

Nah, it isn't mandatory. You launch HOME from the button on the XMB, and can exit HOME to go back to the XMB (I'm assuming).

Would be really dumb if they made it mandatory for HOME users >_>

"Game Launching" is only available in Home, if that's what you're asking. I don't really know what you're asking is mandatory. Quitting anything will bring you back to the XMB.

When he quit Warhawk, he was brought back to Home, was he not? I'm saying I hope we can choose just to operate our PS3's without needing to use Home.

I didn't watch the video, but I know from experience that quitting the game brings you to the XMB. As far as Home itself, it's just another application like any other on the system. XMB is not going to disappear when Home is launched.

The thing is red, quiting the game when you was already logged on home won't quit the entire thing or bring you back to the XMB. It has to be done piece by piece since its entirely two different things.

He quit in the video, and he went straight back into Home. But I don't think it's manditory. If it is, then you'll likley be able to get straight back out of Home.
