First GTA IV DLC out this Autumn

Twisted | September 16, 2008 | News | PC Playstation 3
Microsoft has promised that the first Grand Theft Auto IV episode downloadable content shall be out this fall, only on the 360 though. No word on the price, or the exact date.
Hidden in this morning's press release about the Xbox 360 price cut in the UK was another mention that we should expect to see GTA IV downloadable content this autumn.

Microsoft's not-messing-around PR team writes: "Continuing its blistering pace on the Xbox 360 platform, the first of the Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable episodes for this record-breaking game will be available this autumn - the only console with new Grand Theft Auto IV content available this Christmas."

We should point out that Rockstar has yet to come clean and put us out of our misery though.

Ahh, I see. If your friends don't know about it means that it's underhyped. yeah. Cool. Logic worth an Oscar.

Dick, it is under hyped. There's barely any talk about it. Everybody is focused on the new games coming out.

It would have been good if the core game was good.

Shame RS ruined the Gta feel.

Maybe the update could add some more fun in though.

"continues on its blistering pace on 360..."

Overstatement, by far. It is by no means continuing on its blistering pace on ANY console.

So the game was out on April 30th and it gets it's first DLC by Christmas? That's 7 months later!! Even now GTA4 has lost it's flare.
Well that was a waste of 50 million. lol

A lot of my XBL friends are still playing GTA IV, probably gearing up for this DLC. Still, can't say I'm too excited for this...depending on the price and size of the DLC, I'll see if I'll get it or not.

Even if I did have a 360 and GTA4 on it, I would probably be having to much fun with Saints Row 2, or even MC:LA to even care about the DLC.

I still want to see what the DLC is though.I want to see if I'll be a little sad that the PS3 version doesn't get this DLC.

It's only episodic content, which means it can't possibly be that spectacular given that the games main missions were by and large poor as well.

Why is this under PS3? This is talking about 360 DLC which Sony isn't getting the same content.

Anyway no one cares about the DLC unfortunately.

Not that no one cares; more like very very few care. Most people have long since moved on from GTA4.
