The End Of The Greatest Gaming Podcast Ever

RKRigney | September 17, 2008 | News | PC Company
SlapStic.com reacts to Shawn Elliot and Jeff Green, two fantastic writers and in general hilarious people, leaving 1UP, and GFW Radio in the process with a retrospective article on how they contributed to what is without a doubt the greatest gaming podcast ever.
The cast of the show couldn't possibly be better balanced. Shawn Elliot is truly a genius of comedy and storytelling, often drifting off topic into a story of his never-not-funny past ventures as a roommate to a meth addict, or as a victim of an attempted robbery by an insane, hooded man. Jeff Green is by far the oldest of the panel, but maintains a boyish sense of humor, which adds up for a lot of humorous conversations between him and Shawn. He does manage to moderate the rest of the participants, however, when things get a little bit out of control or into a topic that could wind up offending lots of listeners (my personal favorite part of the shows). It's easy to sometimes forget that Ryan Scott is even in the room when the show is recording, as he generally sits quietly by and listens to the opinions of the more outspoken panelists. When he does decide to speak up, though, it's always because he has something interesting to say, making him a valuable member of the show, despite his otherwise silence.
