Over at IGN.com, they've put together a list of the best Wii games of 2007. The list includes Metroid Prime 3 and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, among others.

Mario, Metroid, Resident Evil and countless more -- we show you why this is the year of Nintendo in an easily accessible video recap.

  • Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Why You Should Watch: Prime 3 is the game that will define first-person controls on Wii and the videos below showcase the amazing responsiveness of looking and aiming. You will also see some very cinematic cut-scenes, including one where heroine Samus Aran floats through outer space before returning to an alien craft to kick some ass.

  • Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
Why You Should Watch: The Wii remote becomes a giant, powerful hammer in NST's new action game. The video below, filmed off-screen during E3, spotlights the title's gritty graphic presentation and intriguing controller mechanics. To swing the main character's hammer around, you twirl the Wii remote and to slam the hammer downward you make the same gesture with Nintendo's controller

  • Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Why You Should Watch: Think House of the Dead if it were made by Capcom. An original new survival horror title for Wii that is on-rails - you use the Wii remote as a gun and shoot down enemies. The video below shows off some of the intense gunplay and beautiful graphics the title has to offer.

Of course Brawl will be there. Who doesn't want to play Brawl?

But the other games that have been mention. They are some I am looking forward to as well.

What forum on Neoseeker do you moderate again.

But in all seriousness, the fact that that forum needs two moderators does reinforce the fact that is a highly anticiptated game.

2007 promises to be a great year for the Wii. As always, there's a game for everybody in the 2007 lineup. Whatever genre you may prefer, whether it's gorey shooters (Manhunt, Resident Evil), fighting games (Brawl, Mortal Kombat), adventure games (Mario Galaxy, Dragon Quest), action/adventure games (Metroid, Project Hammer), or even a nice, laidback casual game. (Brain Age)

I only wanted 2-5 in that whole list. Maybe I need to broaden my gaming horizons, but still, that's enough to hold me over for a while. I guess.

Umbrella Chronicles looks to suck, unfortunately.

Why do you think it sucks? Because it is an on-rails shooter?

Interest in the Wii exclusives is a good sign, but there's not enough of them for the console just yet. Here's hoping for more if the Wii wants to keep its momentum after this year.

This is going to be good. Metroid Prime with the Wii controllers will be awesome. Same with Brawl.
