Age of Conan director calls it quits

tekmosis | September 18, 2008 | News | PC
Age of Conan Producer/Game Director Gaute Godager has handed in his resignation and left with the following statement.

quote
I have done my very best making this fabulous game, but I have concluded there are elements which I am dissatisfied with. I have decided to act on this, and as a result I have chosen to leave Funcom.

Does this mean that Gaute was unhappy with things specifically related to Age of Conan or something internal with Funcom?

With Gaute's resignation Funcom has now appointed Craig Morrison as the games new Producer and Game Director. Morrison is most known for his role as the Producer on Anarchy Online.

If the lead director quits due to something potentially game related, what can this mean for sales? This may not bode too well for Funcom with Warhammer Online's recent launch.
