Dragon Quest IX to see early 2009 release in Japan

According to Square Enix President Yoichi Wada, the upcoming Level-5 developed Dragon Quest IX will be released in early 2009 in Japan. After going a long stretch with no new information, Dragon Quest IX will make an appearance at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2008. An early 2009 release for DQIX would mean that the upcoming Dragon Quest VI DS remake should hit sometime later this year.

    With this out of the way, then hopefully Square will focus on FFXIII.

        Last I checked it was still a major game series for Square Enix too.
