When two boys, aged 14 and 15 were robbing a 51 year old woman, and she walked in on them stealing her Xbox, they killed her. The boys will face life in prison, facing adult charges.

KENOSHA, Wis. — Two Kenosha boys of ages 14 and 15 are accused of beating an adult neighbor to death during a burglary that targeted a computer game device, among other items.

"It's pathetic," Police Chief John Morrissey said. "How can a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old boy murder somebody over an Xbox?"

Others could also be charged in the death of Capri Walker, 51, who was found dead at her Kenosha home about 6:30 a.m. Sunday, the chief said Wednesday.

Police have recommended charges of first-degree intentional homicide, carrying a life prison term. Under state law, juveniles can face adult charges in homicide cases.

"There is still an active investigation going on," Morrissey said. "We believe we have recovered the murder weapon. It appears at this time that it was a burglary, and Ms. Walker interrupted that burglary and was murdered."

I'm tired of these stories. One comes out every week and it doesn't affect the gaming industry in the least. This is local news channel crap. Quit submitting it.

They're doing it for the points. Those precious GameGrep points that they get by ruining the Internet.

There are numerous other articles posted pretty often, that have less "gaming-value" but are still accepted. . .

Don't even bother apologizing in the reply if you typed the joke first. That's stupid and it wasn't even close to funny. This is terrible.

That is absolutely ridiculous. I just wish other people would see the result of this and are turned away from such things themselves. Sadly, this is not often the case . . .

It's this kind of thing that gives ammo to the people who hate video games who are on TV and the like. Bloody *bleep*wits, I'm glad their getting what they deserve but my god is this entire thing stupid! It's like some parents are forgetting to teach their kids to share and play nice and to earn things, not steal.

No offense buddy but it bugs me a little bit to see how quickly you can see how that event could be sourced against gaming. I don't know why.

Sorry but what the heck were you trying to say. And please tell me there is a misunderstanding somewhere along the line between what the article says, what you posted and how I understood it because if there isn't you are the same as kspiess.

I think he's saying that although games are fun and all that, there's more important things in life, but this kinda thing has to stop. Why a 360 though, the Wii is better!

        There's your translation meh thinks.

Okay, it say's that the 2 boys stole the xbox AMONG OTHER ITEMS!!

Surely this could mean there T.V., but no target the game console, Why??
    Because Everyone's talking about it.

If I killed a women and stole her Plasma T.V., Blue-ray player, I-pod, Playstation 3, Printer, Computer, AND car, guess which ones gonna make the headline??

Also guess which ones gonna get blamed the most.
"I did it for the PS3 only, ignore the other stuff I stole!!"

Truly pathetic, but why bother the game industry isn't apperantly affected by any of this crap so good. Keep it that way, and people plz stop posting crap like this, as if it will ever change even a little the gaming community.

Um . . . believe it or not, but not everyone is out to make gaming evil or the bane of humanity. Perhaps, they mentioned the xbox for the same reason they emphasize one item in many many other robberies. . . . because it's an odd thing to steal. They stole something that is . . . really not valuable but mostly for their own pleasure instead of reselling it.

It'd be the same thing as, if I stole a bunch of stuff from someone's house, and also raided their refrigerator. What would headline's focus? The fact that I went through and ate their food. That's because it's something odd and even more selfish than stealing an HDTV that I would most likely just resell.

That kid who accidentally shot himself imitating Halo? That happened in Wisconsin too. Technically not a crime, but still.
