Games newssite Games Radar has confirmed that the first DLC for the upcoming retro revival, Mega Man 9, will be none other than Mega Man's brother: Proto Man. He will be playable, and will be packing the slide and the charge shot, which Mega Man will not have in this game. Also handy is Proto Man's shield, which can deflect smaller bullets but will do nothing against larger blasts.

The Proto Man DLC will set you back 200 Wii Points/160 Microsoft Points/$1.99. Mega Man 9 is set to hit US WiiWare on September 22nd, the PlayStation Network on September 25th, and the Xbox Live Marketplace on October 1st.
