Looks like the PS3 is absolutely no match, yet again. The Wii has pulled out ahead of the game (pun intended) in the match of the best next gen console war.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. sales of video games, devices and accessories rose 33 percent to $1.1 billion in March, propelled by sales of new video game consoles like the popular Wii from Nintendo Co. Ltd.(7974.OS: Quote, Profile, Research), market research firm NPD said on Thursday.

The Wii was again the No. 1 current-generation video game console, selling 259,000 units. That $250 console uses a motion-sensitive controller that has been popular with mainstream gamers as well as new audiences like females, senior citizens and very young children.

Microsoft Corp.'s (MSFT.O: Quote, Profile, Research) Xbox 360 U.S. unit sales were 199,000 in March and outpaced Sony Corp.'s (6758.T: Quote, Profile, Research)(SNE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) PlayStation 3 unit sales of 130,000. The high-end versions of those machines sell for $400 and $600, respectively.......

I mean, to reduce the price -_- . Increasing the memory will increase the price, don't you think ?

true but we still have the 60GB. and by the time that comes out the other one will be cheaper. and with this in mind, you might be able to remove your GB harddrive and out the higher one on. though i cant see that happening cuase of the bigger HD it self.

That's not the best of ideas though honestly. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't see who would need 200 gigs space on their ps3

It's probably mostly because the Wii is much cheaper.

Good to see. I knew this would happen. Sony and Microsoft don't have anything that's actually fun imo, and not only that, but their consoles aren't worth the price. Hehe.

You know coming from me. That wasn't much of a surpise. Kind of knew that Wii would pull ahead of Ps360.

I can't see the Wii topping the DS as Nintendo's real cashcow in the long run, to tell you the truth, at the Wii stands now in terms of hardware features at least. It's almost as if the Wii right now is Nintendo's experiment that (fortunately for the company!) just happens to be doing really well. They just have to get more of these babies out there.
