Sony's incorporation of movie downloads into the PS Store probably put a smile on a lot of PS3 users faces--making it possible for PS3 owners to buy and watch movies without leaving their houses. However, there is a downside to this new service. Once you make that movie purchase of around $15 and download it to your Playstation 3 or PSP system, Sony will only allow you to redownload it once. So if you ever thought of "temporarily deleting" movies to clear up some space for whatever reason, keep that in mind.

Guidelines for purchasing videos

*
Purchased videos have no time limit for viewing, so as long as no one violates the terms of the license agreement, the content can be viewed indefinitely
*
Purchased content can be played on a single PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and up to 3 PSP® portable entertainment systems simultaneously.
*
Purchased content can be downloaded to a single PLAYSTATION 3 or a single PSP system.
*
Content cannot be re-downloaded once it has been downloaded to either a PLAYSTATION 3 or PSP system
*
Any user on a PLAYSTATION 3 may begin playback of a purchased video once it has been downloaded to the system (unless some other restriction, such as parental controls, prevents them from playing back the content)
*
Videos cannot be transferred to any other storage device or copied onto a CD or DVD.

If i was going to buy a movie, I'll just buy the BluRay or DVD. Buying a download is lame. You can never not get *bleep*ed somehow by all the copy protection and user rights bullshit with any such download you buy.

That's the way the world of downloadable content works these days. It's simple, only download rental movies. If you want to buy a movie, buy the BluRay/DVD/HDDVD/Video CD/VHS/Betamax/Laserdisc/UMD/8mm film/etc. That's yours no matter what. You can do whatever you want with it, Sell it if you don't want it anymore, play it anywhere, etc.
