A 13 year old in Lyon, France set 3 cars on fire reportedly because he wanted to imitate a scene from Grand Theft Auto IV, to cause destruction. He only played the game for a few hours before going to do this, it is said.

A teenager who torched three cars in Lyon, France, told police he was wanted to imitate scenes from the Grand Theft Auto video game.

The 13-year-old schoolboy used petrol to set light to three vehicles after playing on the violent GTA 4: Liberty City game on his home PC.

I kinda figured that the whole "Blame GTA for everything wrong with America" thing would fade out after a while. Guess I was wrong.

Not necessarily fake, but definitely inaccurate. The Daily Mail is tabloid journalism.

Awww, little Frenchie doesn't wanna take responsibility for his actions ?

Shut the hell up, kid. The video game didn't set those cars on fire; you did. Stop being a prick, grow up, and start suffering the consequences for your own dumbass mistakes.

Lol, seriously. I bet there are many stories of kids who watch movies, or something, and do stupid things like these. But only the ones based on video games seem to make news.

He has nothing to blame really, GTA is a 18+ Game. He'll probably get himself and his parents into more trouble by saying he got it from there xD

For some reason, I saw the last part of the story as "french car fries" and said wtf out loud. Glad to know I read it wrong.

As for the whole "blame everything on GTA" bandwagon, I'd like to take this opportunity to blame GTA for Jack Thompson being such an idiot.
