In this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu, there are a couple pages devoted to one of the upcoming games from Sega and PlatinumGames's co-publishing deal: Infinite Space for the Nintendo DS.

Infinite Space takes you to the vast reaches of space, putting you in a space opera-style RPG. The battles your character will face will take the form of battleships fights, as your character is a ship captain. You'll be able to collect modules that will allow you to customize and upgrade your fleet of ships. Recruit an assorted cast of crew members that can add different abilities and skillsets to your fleet.

Infinite Space is expected to hit Japan in Spring of 2009. The game will make an appearance at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2008. Magazine pictures courtesy of Wii @ Everyday.

Sounds quite interesting, wonder if they'll pull it off well though.
