Metal Gear Online is getting not one but two new expansion packs in the near future. The first is titled the MEME Expansion and features new maps, a new character and new features. All of which are detailed below. There is also a confirmation that yet another is on the way. Though next to no information is available yet.

Three New Maps
-A snow map. Some people are saying the snowfield where you battle a certain boss in MGS4, others are saying High Ice from MGO Classic.
-A forest/jungle map. Not much is said about this new map, besides the color palette resembling Svyatogornyj East.
-A map with a ruin in the middle of it. C'mon, what else could this be besides Ghost Factory from MGO Classic/Plus?

A New Character
-Nothing revealed about 'em. Said to have a sweet, awesome, killer ability (it's Raiden).

New Features
-Once again, nothing revealed. Just promises that these new features will BLOW YOUR MIND AHHHHHHH.

I can't wait for the new content. I just hope they speed up the turn around for these to keep MGO interesting, especially with a crowded holiday season (next 3 months) quickly approaching.

It wouldn't surprise me if Snowfield was the map, I'd thought it would be good.

Is MGO separate from MGS4 or is it together? I forgot.

Originally it was reported MGO was going to be a stand alone game, sold after MGS4, but a "starter" was going to be included in MGS4. It looks like Konami heard the backlash regarding this and decided to include the full MGO experience with MGS4.

So, just to clarify, you get it when you pick up MGS4. It is a menu option from the main title screen.
