Unfortunately for those of you C&C fans who were waiting for this, now you feel like the Starcraft fans waiting for Ghost. EA has canceled their upcoming FPS Tiberium. Evidently - not preforming up to "quality standards" was the driving force behind the cancellation, but staff members are being rerouted to other projects - so hopefully they can bring their talent elsewhere.

Perhaps this was a good thing though- they would probably pack it full of SecuROM DRM and make it unplayable anyway.

Though we're glad to be spared from any game that clumsily crashes into EA's recently lowered Limbo pole, Tiberium's cancellation will reportedly result in several members of the development team being "released." The publisher claims that it "will make every effort" to move "talented people" to other, actually-coming-out projects.
