At the Nintendo Fall Press Conference today, Nintendo announced that they will be rereleasing some GameCube classics under a new label: "Wii de Asobu Selection" roughly translated by Chris Kohler as "Games You Can Play on Wii Selection". One of these games will include Pikmin.

Also revealed was a new game from Sonic Team creator Yuji Naka's studio, called "Let's Tap".

      There wasn't much announced as far as specific titles, but you know how Nintendo is. It'll continue reviving old games to milk it dry again, let it sit for a while, then milk it some more. Unfortunately Mario's not so lucky; he's milked day in and day out.

    I don't get it. Why re release GameCube games for Wii when you can play GameCube games on Wii? It makes no sense.

    It seems what they're doing is making GameCube games that won't play on a GameCube.

    Ah well, they probably won't get released outside of Japan anyway.

      They aren't just re-releasing them as they were in the GameCube. Nintendo is enhancing their previous GameCube games and giving them Wiimote support, like Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition.

    WTF nintendo do they think they will make more money by making something like a virtual console GC games but with the ability to use the wiimote and classic controller
