It was hinted at before, and it seems that it has now been confirmed by none other than the man behind the Marvel Movie Magic - Avi Arad. Talking about moving his success from Marvel to Games, Arad talks about moving the highly successful PS3 game to the silver screen.

Arad Productions is working with another division of Sony to bring Naughty Dog’s PlayStation 3 hit, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, to the silver screen. Arad believes the game’s protagonist, Nathan Drake, stands on his own and isn’t just an Indiana Jones facsimile.

Are you kidding me. When I was playing, the thing that crossed my mind the most was this wilol make a great movie. The story, the characters, the setting. Its all perfect for a sumer flick. Im kinda happy that they are making a drakes movie, as long as its done right and does have th eplot twist at the end.

May I direct you to the Games to movie section where they failed time and time again?
        Yea thats why.

I never said I didn't like the game or thought it couldn't turn out to be a movie, but given recent history I have a feeling its going to fail.
Metal Gear Solid could be turned into a movie, given its lengthy cutscenes, doesn't mean its going to be good.

God, if they do make this I hope they don't screw up. Movies based on games are notoriously crap. I think they should just make the games and leave it at that.

The game was built cinematically to begin with. If they strictly adhere to the game, they can't go wrong.

Nathan Drake always gave me that "George Stobbart" attribute which i loved to bits. With such a liking for the game, I believe the characters, story and environements would make an awesome transition to the silver screen.

Like said above its a very cinematic game, the plot would be easy to translate to the big screen. Provided they stay loyal to the film.
