Rockstar revealed that Manhunt 2 will be released in the UK for the PS2, PSP, and the Wii, on October 31st 2008. It's releasing a year after it did in the States.

Via a slip of innocuous paper and a frankly terrifying promotional gimp mask, Rockstar has revealed to IGN that its oft-delayed Manhunt 2 is finally set to release on Wii, PS2 and PSP in the UK on October 31.

Arriving exactly one year after its release in the States, this is the heavily-reworked second submission to the BBFC, following the film organisation's decision to deny the original game a classification on the grounds of its "unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone".

Tbh, i can't see this game selling much copies, what with all the other gore games out today and this being a year late, i doubt anyone will be that excited for it anymore.

Especially as the killing animations have all been blurred out and destroyed =/

Ive had this on my PSP for ages haha. Pretty awesome title but the polish and lifespan certainly suits handheld more than a fully fledged console title. Bargain Bin stuff only folks.

If they didn't have to edit out the gore and shit, it probably would have made the gameplay better.

How would better cut scenes make the gameplay better?

I have to agree with him, all the blurring and editing out the hardcore violence and gore totally killed the appeal of the game for me. I couldn't enjoy it at all watching blurred scenes.

That still hasn't explained how it would make the gameplay better.

Because the cutscenes and blurr depict graphic violence, which is the centrepiece of the story. Obviously, voiding such graphic happenings disjoints the story somewhat and it feels like another generic shooter.

That still hasn't explained how it would make the gameplay better. A disjointed storyline doesn't affect gameplay.

Also, have you played Manhunt 2? It's not a shooter.
