In a recent interview with Sean O'Neill of Kombo, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, answered questions regarding the status of Nintendo's upcoming horror title Fatal Frame IV. Is it going to get an American release date? Reggie responded with: "you're going to have to contact the publisher for questions on that."

Which is odd, since Tecmo (the developers of the title) seem to think Nintendo are the publishers.

To add to the confusion, Nintendo of Japan published the title in Japan. So who is in charge of publishing in America? You would think that they would have these sort of things worked out by now.

Discuss in the Fatal Frame IV forum

When pressed by Sean O'Neill about the title (Fatal Frame IV), Reggie just shrugged his shoulders and said "not my problem."

Actually, no, that's not exactly true. Be funny if it was, but it's not. But it's not terribly far off, either, as Reggie told Sean with a smirk that "you're going to have to contact the publisher for questions on that."

How the *bleep* does he not know the release date for a game on the console that's feeding his fat ass and putting his kids through College?

This is just pathetic. One of the only titles on the Wii meriting the "hardcore" attributes and Nintendo cant tell arthur from martha...

What are you guys talking about, last time I checked this game is basically unknown, so how on earth could it be 'feeding his fat ass and putting his kids through College'?

As for this being 'one of the only titles on the Wii meriting the "hardcore" attributes', well this whole area is just opinion, it really depends where you draw the line for hardcore games. I mean Sonic and the Secret Rings (which I personally liked is a conventional game).

When it comes to games that should already have American release dates, yes.

Nintendo of America have been asked about Fatal Frame IV quite a few times now. You'd think that, by now, they would have more to offer us than a shrug of the shoulders and a "not my problem".

I can agree with the Fatal Frame IV part, however expecting anyone to know every game that comes out on their console when hundreds come out monthly is slightly unfair.

ali3n the only thing is, were not talking about everygame where talking about FF4, a game that NINTENDO is publishing. Thats the issue, they're the one publishing the title and don't know anything about the release date or who's publishing the title. That alone speak volumes.

Exactly. Nintendo needs to drop the pretencious mentality that they are a cut above the rest because their console has been the most successful this generation. It can change so fast. Nintendo needs to utilise their lead and start pumping out hardcore titles to pull even more in.
