Not suprising, the 360 is getting alot of exclusive content for games that are multiplat nowadays.

A lot of people think that exclusive content is a plus. My friends this is terrible. If these levels were important shouldn't they be in the purchased game. Are we losing out on relevant pieces of content so the publisher can make a money grab. If it is just non-story supported.... levels who cares? But if I'm going to miss important info to the game and am forced to buy it from Microsoft than this is one title I'll pass on.

I'm with you on that one......all this is doing is encouraging companies to exclude content from the original game to sell at a later date. I'm starting to feel punished for getting a PS3. But I will just continue to speak with my wallet.

Disagree, I find this a great business tactic. You want your version to sell more, pay for exclusive content. Sony has yet to pay for anything of that, so PS3 loses. Those are extra content not ones that was supposed to be in the original game.

GTA4 is a prime example tbh.

Damn you Msoft TR for some reason is a series I think should have stuck to PS and PC.To me TR just feels like a PS/PC game.Strangely this series is the only series where I think that.I couldn't have even cared less if MGS4 went to 360 also.

Well I'm frustrated that Sony seem to think they are righteous or something because they don't buy exclusivity.

Well I say get over yourself Sony.

Business is Business. Its a fantastic idea. Extra appeal to purchase content. I think its not just the one off purchase thats important. Its the stigma; the knowledge that Microsoft are accustomed to purchase this content that will entice people to purchase the console.

Sony's loss if they cant pay for content. They seem to think paying for such stuff is below them. Well money talks. Of course I probably sound like a prick; I own all 3 consoles so its win win win for me.

Don't see how you would sound like a prick. Also i dont see why ADIDAZ is bitching about MS. Its a business tactic and MS are the ones using it.
If Sony is too cheap to use their money to get exclusive content then everyone can now see why they are currently failing compared to MS, Like stated before, this tactic really shows that it works when looking at the sales of GTAIV.

But the GTA IV sales are probably more due to installed userbase, rather than the DLC. As popular as XboxLIVE! is, let's not forget a LARGE proportion of the Xbox360 owners haven't yet connected their systems (and yes, the same applies to the PS3 and PSN).

I feel it's a dirty tactic, personally. I don't mind DLC, but surely if it's planned this early on, it should be on the disc. Bugs and fixes are one thing, year-later add-ons are another, and month-later add-ons are an altogether different story.

As I stated above, this is EXTRA CONTENT. Not ones that was SUPPOSED to be on the disc. Its called EXCLUSIVE CONTENT for a reason. If this was supposed to be on the game disc, then Sony would have it as well. That's the thing, its extra content.

Its like a car, you want a car with Air Conditioning, GPS, Cruise Control, but the cars don't come standard with it. So what do you do? You pay for the EXTRA content for the car to have. Same thing here.

@FinalFantasyFanaticc - your point would work if Sony was failing. They're not failing by any means. This has been a better year for Sony then most people, even including the Stock Market issues worldwide. Everyone is getting screwed but Sony had a better year then everyone.

I do believe that they are now abusing the DLC.

DLC should be used for that one level you wanted to get in the game but couldn't due to time restraints, or to add more costumes or levels you didn't think of until after its release.

But I believe that this could've been on the disc the entire time rather than just docking us money.

A filthy but brilliant investment plan? yes.

A filthy plan nonetheless? oh yeah.
