Well it comes as no surprise that bitter words would be exchanged regarding the new DSi and PSP-3000. And Sony was the first to go a little below the belt.

With Sony set to release the third version of the PSP, one would imagine they're paying close attention to Nintendo, who just announced the third version of their own handheld console. So what do they think of the DSi? "Meh."

Personally I'm not that impressed with either the PSP-3000 or the DSi. At least with the DS about 25% of the games released are decent while the PSP sees maybe 10% if lucky......seriously Sony needs to work on software. I play my DS 10 times the amount I do my PSP.

Completely vice versa for me. I haven't touched my DS in ages.

That's cool but I play my PSP 10 times the amount I do my DS.
The DS has some really good games but you have wade through the tons of shovelware to find them in the store. Both the DS and PSP have allot of games that suck, but the DS has more that suck. Just look at the weekly software release lists.

Totally agree. You definitely have to be a smart consumer when it comes to picking up games for either system.

What games are keeping you guys going on the PSP so strongly? I might have to check them out.

Well, it's not like Nintendo's making it to please Sony. I don't see why their opinion really holds substantial weight.

Exactly. Did anyone honestly expect Sony to say, "oh, you got us Nintendo. Everyone, go buy the DSi instead of the PSP!"? It's Sony's PR Department's job to promote their own products over their competition's. Same goes for Nintendo and Microsoft's PR Departments.

Oh yes, cause saying they're not impressed with the DSi is trashing the handheld.
    quote
"Will it be a product that expands their user base [beyond] under 12? I'm not sure."
^ that is hardly trashing, just making a point that it doesn't many games that expands to age groups as the PSP. Which can be the same to the Wii.

But the issue there is that there are no good games been released. That's not an issue with the consoles so much as the people making games for it. And as of yet there are no DSi games to judge.

No good games? Its the same games that the other DS can play just not the old classics.

I'm not even impressed with the DSi and I bought the DSlite even after I had the old version.

TBH the only good thing I see for it is that it's giving us signs more or less how the NEXT portable from ninty will be.

And Sony should be the one to talk, what was it, 30 minutes taken away from the battery??

Not like any of this matters, the DS could have the graphics of a 360 it still won't stop the massive amount of shovelware it's been getting, and let's not forget, Nintendo has taken a liking to casual gaming now so in the end, it's basically a loss to ANYONE who gets this, since Lite is cheaper and the extra money left over includes a game.
