TGS 08: Resident Evil 5 - Story Trailer (With Wesker!)

Capcom has released a three-minute trailer for Resident Evil 5 which explains some of the backstory of the game. Has a chainsaw-wielding zombie, too, so that's cool. But the main draw point is the first appearance of everybody's favorite baddie, Wesker!

As Capcom promised, they've released a new story trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil 5. Finally, an answer to the burning question: "Wait, why is Chris Redfield running around massacring African villagers?"

    Awesome trailer. But Wesker, you actually last saw Chris in Antarctica, not the Spencer Estate.

    That is asuming, that we know the storyline in its entirety.

    My excitement for the game just went up ten-fold.


    But what have they done to Wesker's voice?? It's missing the cheesy over-the-top villainy-ness.

    Very exciting trailer. I almost fell out of my seat when I mistook the hooded character with the bird-mask driving the truck to be the Merchant from RE4.

    I actually like Wesker's new smooth-talker voice...

    And was that Hunk firing a rocket off that helicopter?

    Wesker has a different voice actor this time around but I think he's done a pretty good job atleast he still sounds pretty similar.

    Mr. Death himself in RE5? Nah, they said that there were no more returning characters...but that would've been so godamned cool.

    It's easy to sense some romance side-plot here...nudge, nudge, wink, wink, Chris.

    Epic trailer man, although its as cheesy as hell. Resi romance? Uh I don't think it works too well.

    Uhh... Wasn't there romance between Ada and Leon? Nothing new but yeah... it would've been better if there was no romance involved in a horror game.

    It would've been awesome if that guy was HUNK tbh.

    Game is looking good but I really don't like Wesker's new voice. His old one rocked. The one from RE4. *sigh*

    The figure with the Bird mask is a woman I think.
    The other TGS 2008 trailer has the figure in heels.

    I gotta say, that trailer really laid down some serious bad assedness.
