TGS 2008: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom - New Characters Revealed: Jun from Gatchaman, Roll from Mega Man

At the currently-going Tokyo Game Show 2008, Capcom at their stage event announced two new characters for their upcoming fighting game, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Cross Generation of Heroes which is headed for the the Arcades and the Wii.

The two new characters are Jun from Tatsunoko anime Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, and Roll from the original Mega Man series from Capcom. There are currently no information on how they'll play or their movesets, as the two characters were absent in the playable bulids at the show.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is set to release in Japan on December 11th. You can find the official site here. Check the source for more pictures from the press event.

    Akira, thanks for putting this up! I so wish this series will make it to the US... Also the inclusion of the characters from Gatchaman = awesome (especially since there is a CGI Gatchman film in the works that looks awesome)

    Also hoping that this title hits the States. It looks damn good, just like previous Capcom crossovers.

      Yeah I hear ya Storm, but because of the early US anime craze there were a lot of distributors buying rights to franchises and characters with wanton abandon...

      Resulted in some key licenses now being in a messy state here in the US which has prevented Capcom's crossovers from coming stateside (the legal wrangling over who owns what character)...

      I hope, truly hope they get it worked out or are brave enough to attempt to work out the rights issues so we can see a game like this.

    Roll!!! And classic Mega Man Roll too. Now the circle is complete! And I hear you guys on the licensing thing, I wonder how that will pan out here in North America? We haven't had too many Tatsunoko franchise localized outside of the big ones like Gatchaman and Tekkaman for example.

      The only Tatsunoko Dubs I know about ou here are Karas, Gatchaman (Known as G-Force), Samurai Pizza Cats, and Tekkaman.

      How hard can it really be to get the licensing for that many characters?

        Don't forget Speed Racer. I think Casshern has some license too, but I'm not sure.

          Speed Racer does, but I really don't think be in this particular game, I pray he does, but, he may not.

    Why do we get Classic Roll and no Classic Megaman? Classic Megaman is the sex right now.

      Mega Man Legends Mega Man is pretty kick-ass (<3 1&2), maybe not as much as classic, but still up there.
