Well if you had doubts about buying the new Resistance Retribution game for the PSP, this may push you over the edge! If you have both games, hook up your PSP to your PS3, start up R2, and you can "Infect Your PSP", unlocking several nice treats to enjoy!

We're pretty excited to announce that yes, we will be providing additional game play and features if you connect R:R to R2! Here's how it works...
Connect R:R to R2 using a USB cable. Go into the R2 options screen, and select "Infect your PSP!" That's all it takes.
Infected mode lasts until you power down your PSP...

Another cool feature we're including is something we call PSP Plus!
Activated from the R2 options screen, PSP Plus! allows you to play Resistance: Retribution using your Dualshock 3 wireless controller. We remove aim assist and increase the challenge level of the game. We even support the vibration function of the controller. If you're playing at home and want to experience Resistance: Retribution in an all new way, this is it.

This is the type of PS3 and PSP connection that I've been waiting for since launch! I'm not much for PSP games and hardly play them (I bought the PSP mostly for media and the Remote Play features), and the Resistance interoperability won't make me buy R:R. . .

However, I'm really glad they're doing it. Seriously, Insomniac is an excellent Dev Team and so many other devs need to follow their example!

    Now . . . let's see more PSP to PS3 connectivity!

Well it looks like this rumor turned out to be true PSP 3000 to support PS3 controller.

Well actually, the slim PSP can already use the PS3 controller. I've used it already. The only problem is that you have to reassign the circle button because if you press it, you exit what you were doing. (This is in remote play, by the way)

Wow I didn't know that. I've googled it and couldn't find anything about playing PSP games on your TV with a PS3 controller, other than the rumor mentioned. I was about to give up searching and call you crazy but then I found this. Using the Sixaxis controller on PSP in Remote Play Most people don't know anything about this. Why is this such a big secret? Why hasn't Sony avertised this feature until now? Very strange.

Haha, well I frequent the Playstation Forums so I actually was under the impression more people knew about that! I'm kinda surprised it's not widely known too . . .

But I don't know if Sony meant for it to actually work, so they aren't advertising it, especially taking into consideration the issue with pressing circle.
