Bethsoft has released the system requirements for the PC version of Fallout 3. The game will require at least a gig of RAM and a 256MB Direct X 9.0c video card. They recommend, however, a dual core CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 512MB DirectX 9.0C video card. Fallout 3 is set for release in North America on October 28th.

Minimum System Requirements:

* Windows XP/Vista
* 1GB System RAM (XP)/ 2GB System RAM (Vista)
* 2.4 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
* Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 256MB RAM (NVIDIA 6800 or better/ATI X850 or better)

Recommended System Requirements:

* Intel Core 2 Duo processor
* 2 GB System RAM
* Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA 8800 series, ATI 3800 series)

    Actually no, I think they're a bit more. More RAM namely.

    Video card requirements would scale based on the time between the release of Oblivion and Fallout 3.

    But since they run using the same basic engine (I think), it isn't too surprising.

    I just hope there aren't many framerate issues with this game, as there was plenty in Oblivion (at least for the 360, and lower end PC users, and PS3 users I think).

      That's the minimums though. And anyone with even a passing knowledge of PC gaming, knows that 'Minimum' = 'Maybe you'll get a few FPS, at low settings'.

      Do you meet/beat the recommended specs? Laptops aren't generally great for gaming.

    Hell yah i get to play this game, static about this game. But it should be that hard for most people to be able to play this game on their pc.
