Today Midway have officially confirmed the details for the box art for the special North American "Kollector's" edition which was hand painted by Alex Ross (one of the worlds most pre-eminent and respected comic book artists).

Included in the Kollectors edition is an exclusive removable print designed again by ross as well as bonus video content. Also included is a 16-page comic book, sketched by John Tobias, the co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise. The comic book will chronicle the shocking, universe-shattering events that lead up to the in-game story mode.
