Free Games in Xbox 360 Holiday Bundles

Livewire_19 | October 11, 2008 | News | XBOX 360 Gaming Tech/Hardware
Microsoft is really trying to make the 360 a more attractive buy for people this holiday, now they will be bundling the 360 with extra games at no extra cost. The $299 Premium and $399 Elite will come with Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, and Kung Fu Panda. And the $199 Arcade will came with Sega Superstars Tennis on top of the five Xbox Live Arcade titles that already come with it.

These holiday bundles will take effect later in the year, but take note that these bundles have only been confirmed for North America.

You can always tell when a console is desperate to boost it's sales rates because it starts to give away the shittest games it supports away for free with the console. Sad, sad day for Xbox XD

Isn't lego Indiana Jones good though?

But yeah, Kung Fu Panda probably isn't up there on the high scores list XD Same with the Sega Superstars Tennis thing >_>

Meh, this isn't really 'desperate', this is more "Maybe bundling some crap will sell a few extra units?". 360 is still going pretty strong.

Err, hasn't MS done this before? Like when they included Forza 2 and Ultimate Alliance in their bundles last holiday.

      Yep.

Like I said, this isn't desperate. Just a way to add incentive....

Besides, won't the PS3 and Wii systems come with games anyhow?

Not unusual to have holiday bundles with games....Wouldn't be much of a 'bundle' without at least one game....

Yeah tallteen your right, this is one of the things that finally motivated me to get a 360 last year with the Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance bundle. Also the release of the Falcon board and a 10% off Target coupon helped allot to motivate me. Things have just gotten allot better this year with the major price cuts and with replacing the hard drive in the premiums with 60GB's and now free games. I think Nintendo and Sony are in for a shock when they see the 360's sales numbers at the end of the year.
