Exclusive costumes for PS3 version of Dead Space

Some cool news for Ps3 owners who plan on buying Dead Space. For anyone who buys the game between October 24 and November 7 can download a PS3 theme costume for free, afterwards it will come at a cost. Also, some stores have a sweet red costume when you pre-order the game. Check out what stores around you have the pre-order offer.

You’ll be getting an Obsidian Rig which will be available from the Playstation store once you log in the game. The main character will get a suit that has Playstation 3 themed colours (Black, red, blue and a little bit of yellow), increased toughness and more inventory slots.
You can get this item for free from October 24 till November 7. After that you will have to pay. How much is not known yet.

There also seems to be a limited edition red-tinged Scorpion Rig which you can get a selected shops when you pre-order there. You will be given an unique code to download it from the Playstation Store.

Pretty sweet but to be honest i don't think i'll be looking at my character much while i'm being scared every few minutes lol. And the fact the game is offline only there is no bragging rights unlikes the pre order costumes in LittleBigPlanet.

The red one's cool, but it's nothing worth bragging about to a 360 owner, especially with some of the exclusive dlc they get.

    More about the content you can get like in LBP the unique costumes you can only get through luck or through pre-ordering, lots of people will go around parading their Nariko SackGirl etc... Though bragging to 360 owners is stupid as they tend to get the better shit anyways haha.

weird, you can already download that suit from the PS store, so anyone thinking of buying the game later can download it now and then wait for a price drop without worries.

I already downloaded the Obsidian(?) suit. I don't really think I'll be paying for the other suit, especially because the description sounds exactly the same.

I was just playing the game, and the graphics on that obsidian suit look SO much better than the basic one. I was surpised. Plus you get extra hit points and inventory slots. Definitely worth it.

The Xbox 360 version of the game also has an exclusive suit, if anyone was curious.
