Scamco (Namco) offers you DLC of Vader and Yoda in Soulcalibur IV

PacoDG | October 17, 2008 | News | Playstation 3 XBOX 360
Bandai Namco is offering up something they claimed was not going to happen, Yoda for Playstation 3 and Vader for Xbox 360. For the fee of $6 and 400 mspoints respectively.
"Even after hearing the quote from director Katsutoshi Sasaki on the matter of Vader/Yoda:

"we don't have any plans for that"

I still said, "no, they will rip you off", and so it has happened. Being right all the time isn’t always a great thing."

Doesn't matter, when the game was announced, they didn't say we'd have to pay for the character, since it was already on the disk

Do you even understand what they're saying? They are console exclusive characters. Soul Calibur 2 had the same thing, witch each console having a unique character. With this, we're allowed to pay a little extra and get the character from the other version of the game. If you have a 360 you still get Yoda for free. Yet, you have to pay to get Darth Vader, as he was designed to be for the Playstation 3 only. You can't bitch and moan for having to pay more to get more.

      Two things:
1 Namco said this wouldn't be happening.

2 Namco sells you unlock keys for content on the disc. This was already proven when video was released showing both characters fighting each other right when the game had come out, proving that this content was already there. People are paying extra for something they already own on the disc they had bought.

It was pretty obvious this was happening, hell you had to be an idiot to think it wasn't.

On soul calibur 4 there was a spot empty ready for vader to be put in, ready for scamco to get alot more money just from one character >_

6$ for one character? Doesn't seem worth it to me.

But for 360 that one character is Darth Vader. In my opinion he's worth it.

I have a feeling a lot more people will be buying Vader than Yoda. From what I heard the green midget is *bleep*.

To late.I don't play it anymore.I'm not gonna pay money for a character in a game I don't play.Especially at that price.$6 means something like $10 here.I may buy things like I'm rich, but even I think that's to much just for one measly character.

$6 for a character? Come again? I already sold my copy anyway. They really watered this one down.

Too expensive, TBH, even for an iconic character.

And who here is REALLY surprised? A lot of us already figured on this happening at some point >_>
