Rock Band 2 Free DLC Revealed

News hit today concerning the Rock Band 2 Free DLC pack that comes with the purchase of Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. MTV Games and Harmonix are set to release the 20 song pack on November 4th, focusing on lesser known bands from all around and expanding the Rock Band 2 library even more. The best part is? You got it free if you bought the game new, which makes it that much better.

The 20 extra tracks pushes Rock Band 2's set list over the 100 song mark. But while the songs on disc are mainly well-known ditties, the 20-pack is made up of up-and-coming bands, some of whom you may not know.

The 20-pack features bands from across the world and from a variety of genres. Here's the complete list of free downloadable tracks:

    Only one I know is X Japan, and they are great..
    Hopefully at least some of the bands are awesome and get their music really heard through this..!

    I've only heard of Underoath myself. I really am hoping that it gets some unknown bands some publicity. It's a really cool idea.

    So you can't get it, if y ou buy the game used? How would that work, each disk having some sort of randomized code in it, or something?

    In any case, I dunno when I'm getting RB2. I'm saving my money for a new computer....And I'm going to be spending ~$200+ next week (Fallout 3 CE, possibly the SE guide, and LBP).....

      The way it works as that with each purchased set of Rock Band 2, on the back of the instruction manual is a code that you register your copy with. So anyone that owns it would most likely register the code with their copy of the game, which is why it won't work on a used one.

      That's not to say it won't. It just depends if you get lucky.
