Super Paper Mario sells 70,000 on day 1

Gotenks | April 25, 2007 | News | Wii
I think selling 70,000 copies in just one day is pretty good for a game that we have been waiting for so long. I guess in the end having it on the Wii instead of the Gamecube is better.
Nintendo sold 70,000 units of Super Paper Mario in Japan the first day of the distribution.

In North America Super Paper Mario sold 149,876 in itÂ’s first 5 days.

Wow, impressive. I didn't think this game would sell so well.

I figured this game would sell very well. I just got a preview of it in the store, when the worker at EB games was playing it and it looked awesome!

I don't own the Wii or anything, so I can't get it. But this would definetly be a game I'd play if I had the Wii.

I was really surprised that this game did so well. I tried to buy it late on the day of its release and every game store in my area was sold out. Great game though, now that I've played it I see why it's so popular.

Really? I bought it the Friday it came out and the EB near were I lived had like 5 copies in stock. But also lucky for me my friend works there as well.
