Linked to from Joystiq, apparently it has been discovered that Japanese Pokémon players are willing to give up some of their better Pokémon for even the lowliest of low-level fodder simply because...their names are in English.

    That's interesting, I mean you always hear about us Westerners saying how much better the Japanese versions of...well, everything, are, so it's strange to hear the Japs want our stuff.

    But sure, they can have my level 5 Pokemon for their awesome Japanese legendaries haha

      Using the term "Japs" is a little offensive to use, to me anyways although, I'm sure you didn't mean it that way...anyways, it's just the opposite with them as it is for North America. People in the US/Canada love anything Japanese and anything English in Japan is considered cool / trendy.
