Rest in peace to World of Warcraft lover, Ezra Chatterton. While he was sadly unable to lead a longer life, the time he spent here was not forgotten. Through his love for the game and the kindness of Blizzard and Make-A-Wish, he was able to actually help design some things in one of the most played games ever.

This is a truly heartwarming story about a developer really showing their dedication to the fans. Sadly, this is where the heartwarming part ends. A few months ago, Ezra suffered a stroke, and on Monday, he passed away, never getting to realize his dream of becoming a tester and developer for Blizzard. Video games can't solve all problems, of course, but it is really nice to hear about a community coming together to care about a little boy who loved this industry so much.

That is the saddest article I have ever seen on GameGrep. Good on the kid for having an ultimate dream and trying to enter a hard industry. Sad to hear of his departure!

It would be nice if blizzard added something in there next expansion or download to commemorate him. Surely the Ezra must've said an idea or something to Blizzard before his death.

    Really Sad though.

I assume (and hope) they'll use the character he designed (Ahab Wheathood (and the dog)) for far more quests then just the planned one.

At least the fam. can take solace in the fact he got to live at least some of his dream.

Its good to hear developer's have a heart.

I don't know why but the gaming industry feels very, well, connected, I mean it feels very communal.

    Very nice story.

I woner what the bow would be called? I thought the name "Ezra's Bow" actually sounds good (Ezra isn' that common of a name, and sort of sounds Fantasy~ish). Or maybe "Ezra's Solace" or perhaps "Ezra's Will", etc....
