After all the hype, one of the biggest MMO projects ever is coming to a close. Namco-Bandai, in association with Electronic Arts, is finally closing the doors to the Hellgate: London servers, in early 2009.

It seems that for once in an MMO, good has finally triumphed over evil. No longer will the citizens of London have to fear the evil creatures that roam the streets and kill the innocent. Namco Bandai has announced that the Hellgates are closing, and they're closing for good.

    this game was good until the mass flock of idiots crashed the servers and caused massive frame rate issues. Oh well stopped playing after the first month, it was fun but too many issues

    Unfortunate that the Hellgates are closing indefinitely, the series had great potential when it came to where they were taking it.
