Resistance 2, Latest Victim On Metacritic!

From what began from the 360 fans, where they gave Little Big Planet pretty much the lowest ratings they can give it, the PS3 owners strike back at the same website but to their beloved Gears of War 2 game, but most of you already know this.

Now another game has fell victim as an act of vengeance from the 360 owners. The highly anticipated FPS (First Person Shooter) Resistance 2.

How will the PS3 fans strike back? Fable 2 is already on a 6.4 user rating although that game is already released worldwide. Gears of War 2 is still stuck at a killer 2.7 rating.

When will it end? Shortly after we talked to Metacritic founder Marc Doyle about LittleBigPlanet’s low user score, the wrath of Sony fanboys was unleashed upon Gears of War 2’s user score as a revenge hit. It now appears that the 360 fanboys just wouldn’t stand for that, even though they seem to have started this in the first place, and have retaliated by butchering Resistance 2.

    Both sides need to grow up. Wow, you own a PS3 and you own a 360, no need to BAAAAW over it and knock exclusives. You picked your console and are too against the other console to give it a chance, ok, great- now just keep it to yourself so we don't have to put up with all this pointless banter.

    Personally, i'm quite surpried fanboys hadn't thought of it earlier. From another perspective, it's quite an interesting way to wage your fanboy war, by invading metacritic.

    Well it sounds like Metacritic better figure out how to prevent this.......perhaps entering a UPC code from the actual game before being allowed to give a score.

    Everyone's freaking out over these games getting low scores. i don't understand why.

    Have any of you played GoW2, R2, or LBP? No.

    These games could really be bad.

    Now, it's certainly HIGHLY doubtful that they are bad games, but it's not like it isn't possible.

    For instance, GoW2 could be released with massive bugs and glitches or frame rate issues to the point that you can hardly play it, or, in LBP, it may take 15-20 hours to make a decent level and the controls could be terrible to the point that you can't even enjoy the level once you've created it.

    There are a number of possible problems with these games that could warrant a low score.

    I'm thinking they just aren't living up to the hype, which is almost bound to happen considering everything. I doubt it's sheer fanboyism.

      No, and neither have any of the users on metacritic

      It'd be fair enough for the people to give it such a low score AFTER these games had been released, But they haven't. which means none have them have even played these games yet and are giving it a low score for no other reason then the fact that it is on a rival console.

      Thats not the point. The point is, that neither have the people voting on metacritic. Its a "review" collection; and they havent played the game to be able to "review" it.

        Is that not true? I didn't know Metacritic scores included random user reviews.

        Actual "professional" reviewers have had/could have had access to these games to play them. I thought only major sources(like gaming magazines and official sites) counted for Metacritic Scores.

        If I'm wrong about the inclusion/exclusion of user reviews, then I apologize for the ignorant statement before.

          Yes your wrong, This and the other article is talking about the User Score Not the professional score

          For example, LBP got a professional score of 95/100, But based on votes from thousands of users, it got a 'userbase' score of about 6.5/10

          The point being made here, Drogo, is that the games being hated on aren't even out yet, so no one has played them, therefore the user ratings are completely invalid.

          LBP is not a bad game, we know that from the 95/10 average as well as the praise we people gave it from the beta. Resistance 2 isn't bad either, since I'm playing the absolutely amazing beta, adding to the fact it's not out yet. And Gears 2...come on, one, it's not out yet, and two, there's no way it could be bad.
