Blend Games writes about Media Molecule discussing a sequel to the highly awaited LittleBigPlanet. The team has already started working on a sequel, according to a recent interview with the technical director of the game.

Wait, really high-profile, console exclusive games get sequels? It's a bit of a "dog bites man" story but worth noting nonetheless. LBP2's in its very early stages so there's no actual information on the game but one would hope that it will possess backward compatibility with user-created content from LBP.

This has been proven wrong by a person who works for Media Molecule themselves. Anyone want me to provide a link to prove it, just let me know and I'll find it for you.

Why would it be 4 years though? It makes no sense.

I hope this isn't true, there is very little LittleBigPlanet doesn't have which couldn't be added in a update. Unless its a spiritual sequel and takes the game in a whole new direction.

It's not true, no worries. They have a whole year's worth of DLC already ready before moving onward.
