Well it seems like those who spent the extra money on the Fable 2 Limited Collector's Edition (like myself) just got ripped off. Many people probably heard that some copies were shipped without their DLC voucher card that allows you to download The Hall of the Dead dungeon, The Wreckager Legendary Cutlass Weapon, and the Spartan armor. So Microsoft's fix for this problem is to Email you the missing code. But with no way of telling the different editions apart anyone with a Live account can now get the DLC codes. Good news for those that didn't buy the LE, just go to the source to get yourself a DLC code.

We have identified that some copies of the “Fable II” Limited Collector’s Edition are missing the downloadable content (DLC) cards, which give access to in-game bonus content. This represents a small fraction of the total number of “Fable II” games shipped and sold, and is contained to the Limited Collector’s Edition of the game in North America. We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you have purchased a copy of the “Fable II” Limited Collector’s Edition that appears to be missing the DLC card, please enter your Windows LIVE ID here. Codes* will be sent out via email to the email address associated with your Windows LIVE ID within 5 working days.

*Only one token code per Windows LIVE ID. Website fulfillment of this offer expires on 12/31/2008.

How do you know that they wont be able to tell the difference? In the source it doesn't say they cant.

Also the only ones shipped without the codes are in NA, so everyone in EU or anywhere else don't have to worry.

Check the alt source. The LE disc is exactly the same as the normal one, and how could they check it in a reasonable way?

Well I don't know, I wouldn't take some guys word from the internet on it.

Lets just wait until an official release or something.

What does it hurt to just try and get the code?
Did you buy the LE slumpy? I know I feel a bit ripped off, this withholding content that should be on all copies of the disc is a load of crap. And your neo profile shows your Xbox GamerTag.

          It hurts me inside.

I'm just saying we shouldn't jump to conclusions yet, Ms might be able to tell the difference between the two, you never know.

Maybe the DLC will be able to tell if you have the right version or not and become disabled when you try it.

    If not, what a rip.

If you shop around the Limited Edition can be purchased for the same price as the regular one. This is due to the package shrinking in size, only offering a different cover, extra DVD and the additional bonus game content. Most retailers also give out codes for Fable II Pub Games, too!

Yeah I bought my LE copy of Fable 2 at Buy.com for $59.99 plus no tax & free shipping. But if I had known about this DLC thing there are allot of places I could have gotten the regular edition for $49.99.
What sucks for me is that I'm still waiting for my copy to ship.

This is extremly annoying and if this is to be true then i can see Microsoft and Lionhead getting LOADS of complaints, i mean sure its only £5 extra paid for the LE but all i can brag about now is my goddamn dvd of the making of and who the hell watches that? >_

Well, I just feel like a fool for getting the LE last week...

Jeers... jeers... at least the Fallout 3 collectors edition with the pipboy clock was somewhat worth it (the lunchbox is awesome)

I'm going to try it. Microsoft probably knows people will be trying to get codes without buying the LE, and the company can probably track how many LE they actually sold and compare it to the number of voucher requests. Dunno if they can tell WHO, though -- would be creepy if they could.

But hey, it's Microsoft. They totally have the money to throw away on this! xD

It works anybody can get this DLC.
I tried to get a code even though I've already downloaded the DLC and they sent me another code.

Sucks for those that bought the LE edition and are just now getting the codes.

Or maybe because you have the collectors edition that they sent you the code.......

I tried and I got no code.
