tekmosis is going to kill me for posting another article about our friend Jack, but word has it that he has finally been officially disbarred.

All of the paperwork has gone through, and effective this week all of the records show that he can no longer practice law in the state of Florida.

"Not eligible to practice law in Florida"? Whats stopping him from practicing in another state?

this disbarment. after a state has disbarred you, its extremely hard to work in the same practice for another state, when they can easily pull up your file and immediately see giant red letters at the top with your name right underneath

I know its extremely hard, but still at the very least there's a shot.

But Deathsythe answer my question very well.

Well, he would have to pass that state's bar exam and I'm sure they check to see if the person is disbarred in another state before giving him a license

Indeed, It would be at the discretion of a judiciary oversight committee of sorts - and being disbarred, especially to the extent that he was, usually doesn't go over well.

This also means he is disbarred in any states that had reciprocity policies with Florida too, and the chances of him getting a new license there are null.

I don't really think it makes a difference, it isn't going to silence him.

It wont silence him, true, but he wont be able to legally do anything against video games.

it would not matter if he passed another bar exam, that is not even in the process for him to legally practice law again. once you are convicted of a crime or if you are a morally inept person and so on, the bar association does not have to grant you acceptance, and there for you cannot practice law. And worst of all is someone that is disbarred, that means you will never practice law in this country again. that is worse than testing positive for super aids!
