Pokemon Diamond and Pearl have combined to have record-breaking Pokemon Sales! They have had a total of One Million games sold within these first Five Days of the North American release. Half of those games were pre-ordered, and the rest of the games were just picked up from the store. This is contributing quite well to the 155 million Pokemon Games that have been sold since the series was made a decade ago.

Nintendo of America today announced that Pokemon Diamond and Pearl have combined sold through more than one million copies in the five days since they released in America. This is, according to the subsidiary, the fastest rate that any Pokemon titles have sold at launch in the U.S. since the inception of the franchise.

Nintendo said that more than 500,000 people pre-ordered copies of the games, contributing to such a strong launch. The company believes that the two titles will ultimately become some of 2007's best-selling efforts.

I think that is amazing how much it has already sold in the U.S. That's like 5 million behind Japan.

That's really cool. I'm not surprised though, there was a lot of hype around the forums. If there's that much excitement just on Neoseeker with a small community, it's not a shock that a million copies have been sold already.

I wouldn't call Neoseeker a small community, but other than that, I agree with you presicely.
