If you are a Playstation 3 owner who has been disappointed with the lack of exclusive games and DLC for certain multiplatform games, then don't worry! When asked about the abundance of exclusive titles and DLC Xbox 360 is getting, Sony's UK director Ray Maguire has assured that "nothing is ever exclusive". Though whether that is a confirmation that future multiplatform games will offer equal DLC to both consoles, or just wishful thinking on Mr McGuire's behalf, remains to be seen.

Sony Computer Entertainment UK managing director Ray Maguire has told VideoGamer.com that "nothing is ever exclusive" in response to questions surrounding exclusive DLC on Microsoft's Xbox 360.

Microsoft has tied up Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable content for some of this year's biggest games, including GTA 4, Fallout 3 and Tomb Raider: Underworld, leading to complaints from some PS3 owners that Sony isn't doing enough for them.

However, speaking to VideoGamer.com at the Games 3.0 conference in London earlier this week, Maguire rejected those complaints, saying he would "much rather that we (Sony) were investing money into making sure that we've got great R&D and we start producing games like LittleBigPlanet rather than paying other people a huge amount of money to stop people playing their product."

Why does Sony always open their mouth to say the stupidest things?

Now now Red, let's give them a chance and see what they have to offer...hopefully they'll back this statement up, though I'd rather they get more exclusives than turning some into 'multi-platform.'

Way to go Sony! That's a great way to have your customers buy your expensive platform when they can get the same thing for a cheaper 360.

Anyone else find it strange that all the stupidest comments from Sony are coming out of SCEE?

yea like the one that basically told people to use home brewed PSP instead of going to buy the actual games. SCEE has really been *bleep*ing things up with what they say and how they say it.

The statement kinda bites them in the ass considering which major game turned out to not be a Sony exclusive...ohhhh right FFXIII. Ah well, at least they're warning fanboys to lower their expectations.

Thats the idea! When something isn't going your way, just pretend it doesn't exist! What? I've never heard of the Xbox 360.

Soooo......Good just give up your rights to LBP and others like ratchet and clank, and the future Jak and daxter game to microsoft and nintendo.

    "nothing is ever exclusive" right???

Seriously Sony, if it weren't for the FEW good exclusives out there, there would be almost no reason to get a PS3.

(psst, but you will still consider LBP going multi platform right?? Microsoft, get out your checkbooks)

Well sorry Sony, but Microsoft and their respective console/developer dealings have managed to result in them keeping many of their things exclusive.

They need to stop making generalised and irrational statements to cover their own incompetence.

    (im sorry I still love u PS3/Sony <3)

I guess they're thinking or logic is, why bother spending money to keep games exclusive or get DLC when you can spend that money on brand new franchises that are huge hits like LBP.
