THQ-Volition Announce Saints Row 3 in the works

Well Saints Row 2 isn't a month old, and THQ-Volition are out selling a "new direction" for Saints Row 3 . . Yes, the next iteration will, supposedly be something different and much more in the tome we had expected Saints Row 2 to be in . .which they had promised with Saints Row 2 . .

Well it was a few years ago when THQ/Volition announce Saints Row 2, and everyone jumped up and down thinking it would be “darker toned” as promised. But something definitely happened between the 2007 announcement and 2008’s release earlier in October.

Volition are again saying that gamers are to expect a “new direction”, perhaps a darker and deeper Saints Row 3 ? How knows what will happen, will it turn out like this one and crawl along as the franchise wanders on? Or actually deliver on its promises to give gamers something different. They have begun work on the following iteration. Which is normal for franchise, getting a head start to keep releases closer and gamers satisfied.

    Oh dear. Lets not end up like GTAIV aye? GTAIV was awesome, but for me, It was significantly worse than San Andreas and Vice City. A "new direction" is hopefully one that only improves on the solid foundations of the first two titles.
