A feature many people are upset that wasn't in the final game is uploading images from your HDD and using them as stickers in LittleBigPlanet. Well MM confirmed that the reason why was because of time constraint and that an update will be released sometime around Christmas that will add this feature.

Talking at GameCity in Nottingham today, Alex Evans was asked about the lack of image import in LittleBigPlanet.

The news? He confirmed that this was only pulled from the release of the game because of time constraints, and that the image import tool would be released by Christmas.

Just saw this, and not owning a Playstation Eye am pretty damn happy. I though they removed it for copyright issues though?

Only LittleBigPlanet can take screenshots, not all PS3 games.

    AWESOME

I'm sure copyright will come into play though. If a level is plastered with copyrighted images, I'm pretty sure it'd be taken down fast, if it is even published in the first place....

I don't think it'll be long now till everyone who plays littlebigplanet will be joining someones game only to see images of that persons penis plastered over their level >_>

I hate to say this, but talking with Sam_Protagonist on the Official forums (who is Kinda like the Voice for Media Molecule between them and the fans), he said that this is not true. Alex misunderstood some things and there are no, I repeat, NO plans to allow image imports from the HDD.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news though I would have liked it too.

Damn, that completely sucks. I guess we are back to using the eye toy.
