We were recently disappointed with the DSi. The idea of an alternate way to play your music collection made people excited, though when they heard the news it wouldn't support MP3 files they suddenly backed off. To see if it's worth it or not, IGN have had a playtest with this new feature.

There's a record mode, talk-back-parakeet, features when playing music such as being able to play with speed and tone, the stylus can also be used to play around with music and lots more!

The article once again sheds light on the absence of MP3 file support. Though if they just changed that and a couple of interface features, it'd be great.

I dont think the MP3 thing is a big deal at all...Im pretty sure AAC is smaller anyway, isnt it? And maybe sounds better..Im not sure....anyway all in all I dont think the two are noticeably different so eh. The only annoying thing is going to be converting all my mp3s to AAC..hehe.

I believe AAC is larger, but better quality.

I use WMA format for my music though.

Beats me, just comes down to the fact everyone loves MP3 files and that's usually the staple file for a music player these days. The features mentioned make it sound appealing though, go the parakeet. xD

That's probably cause no one wants to convert alot of songs into AAC. Its a pain in the ass(time consuming) as it is for me to convert MP3's to WMA to save space on my Zen Vision M.

Yes, ACC is bigger than MP3 and MP3 is bigger than WMA which all my music is. And I agree with Final Blade, I have a Sansdisk MP3 player and it's just so much more economical to have my music in WMA, it takes up less space and doubles my capacity. Personally I will not convert all my music to ACC it's not worth it mainly because I hate most Apple products, except the touch, iphone, and Apple earbuds. But anyways wouldn't you already have an ipod if your buying ACC music.
