Sweden may not have a very merry Christmas after a theft occurred in Sweden. No less than two trailers full of Nintendo DS units have been stolen from Gothenburg Harbour. Police are saying they suspect it was an inside job. Curiously, the two they took contained red, black and white Nintendo DS. There are no definite numbers, but it is estimated to be around seven thousand.

What made the police think it's an inside? Well there were an awful lot of trailers there and they just happened to pick two with the exact same cargo.

This will more than likely lead to a big sales problem. There was already a DS shortage, now this massive loss will take an even heavier blow.

An application for new shipments from Japan have already been made, with no reply as of yet. There is even a 10 000 kronor reward for anyone who can give helpful tips to retrieve the stolen goods and hopefully catch the thieves.

It's curious caus they chose two containers which BOTH contained Nintedo DS's i think.
I feel sorry for people who have their DS's on pre-order only to be told someone stole it XD

Well... why didn't they pick a trailer with cobalt or pink DS systems?

To get away with something like that, it has to be an inside job. Plus its not like the people who took it knew what was inside; surely the individuals who stole the trailers already knew which ones they were and what they contained.

It's curious because of the colours. Not only out of all the cargo there did they pick two containing Nintendo DS but also with the same colours.
