Teenage rapist fueled by GTA finally sentenced

Aside from having a horrible MySpace-esque photo that makes you want to punch him in the face, Ryan Chinnery is responsible for a number of sexual assaults in Kent, UK over the course of summer 2007. Chinnery was allegedly an avid fan of GTA and pornography, and there's some finger pointing at Grand Theft Auto now that he's been incarcerated.

As stated in the article, I hope he makes lots of new "friends" where he's going.

19-year-old Ryan Chinnery of Ashford in Kent has been sentenced to eight years in prison for a series of sexual assaults throughout the summer of 2007.

As expected, various UK tabloids have been blaming video games for Chinnery's crimes, following his admission of obsession with Grand Theft Auto. In addition to an unhealthy love for pornography, Chinnery apparently spent hours in that game, though it was not specified which title he was fixated on.

    Oh yeah cause Grand Theft Auto is a rape simulator, atleast other people pointing fingers were actually getting close... Murder simulator, crime simulator yes perhaps it is in the feeble mind of a psychopath but it's not a rap simulator there is no rape in any Grand Theft Auto, this kid was just *bleep*ed up i guess all rapists are Grand Theft Auto players then?

    Seriously, they need to look beyond gaming. Its parenting, communities, social skills. Blame game on gaming is tiresome and its getting annoying!

          Oh posh, Gutter_Tech, there's nothing wrong with porn. Moderation is important though, which can be said for everything. Sure some of it is pretty "wtf", but I prefer to think most people who watch porn are just normal human beings with very human needs.

          It's people like this piece of scum that make critics point fingers going, "__________ is a bad influence on society!"
