Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
13 hours 4 mins ago
Epic Games' President Mike Capps has suggested the idea that game developers, in order to curb the sales of secondhand games, start making the endings of games downloadable content, saying "If you want to fight the final boss you go online and pay USD 20, but if you bought the retail version you got it for free".
In what can only be described as the worst idea ever, Epic Games Michael Capps let slip one of the many ideas developers are passing around to try and curb people from buying used games. "...If you want to fight the final boss you go online and pay USD 20, but if you bought the retail version you got it for free".

that just makes me think hes a stingy bastard
Well . . . That sounds alright, but . . . No thanks. I'd rather not stifle our right to sell what we own to others, and buy other people's things they are selling. We shouldn't be forced to buy ONLY from stores or ONLY from one marketplace.
I'm pretty sure he has a say on what Epic do with their games.
Also this article is twisted, It says he has "I've talked to some developers who are saying 'If you want to fight the final boss you go online and pay USD 20, but if you bought the retail version you got it for free"
It isn't all his idea.
What an incompetent.
nuff said.
The most evil side of me would love to see this happen for all games...
But this is pretty much bullshit, overall.
And about all Epic's games being hits, what do they make besides Gears and Unreal Tournament, with the latter not being nearly as popular as it once was?
