Nintendo has announced its official Wii lineup for 2007. Metroid Prime 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, and more all set to be released.

Last week, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata held a conference to talk about company financials and to outline its plan for the year. At the Japan-hosted event, Iwata noted that the Big N had 45 Wii games and another 79 DS titles in development. Now, through officially released financial documents, we've gained a much deeper understanding of which titles players can look forward to this year - both in Japan and in America.

w00t! 2007 looks AMAZING for the Wii. I really hope most of those games make it to the US around the same times as Japan (especially Brawl and Galaxy), and it does seem very likely. I'd definitely start a riot and attack Nintendo if Japan got those two titles before us. Let's all pray that the critics aren't right though; it'd be a huge damn shame is this was Nintendo's one big year, and then they fell. But Animal Crossing is coming out next year, and hopefully Camelot's mystery RPG, and probably other games that'll be huge. Also, there are still about 30 more of the 45 titles that can be released in the years to follow. I doubt think the Wii will fall as easily as the critics think. Who knows, though?

This was kind of obvious judging from last year's E3, but it's a great line-up, nonetheless. I need to get a Wii soon.
